24 Hour 7 Days Emergency Call Out

Are you a Landlord?

Although the change in minimum efficiency regulations have been extended because of COVID, it is important that Landlords fully understand the scope of what is required to ensure compliance.

The following requirements were expected to come into force from 1 April 2020 but have been delayed because of the COVID:

  • If you’re starting a new tenancy, the property will need to have an EPC of at least band D by 1 April 2022.
  • All rented properties, regardless of tenancy period, will need to have an EPC of at least band D by 31 March 2025.

What are some easy ways we can help to increase your rating?

  • Replace old electric heaters with oil filled storage heaters
  • Change to LED lights

You should also consider upgrading old boilers to energy-efficient systems, double-glaze windows, and ensure adequate insulation in walls and loft areas.
